2Artist GAGE

Gage’s exploration of art design practice follows an ethos of progressive innovation and diversity of subject and concept. The funny thing about Gage’s professional title is that he doesn’t necessarily have one, he’s a professional creative innovator, and actively chooses a broader art design practice while following a philosophy of strength in creative diversity and harmony in visual flow. Gage finds value in the quality of design ideas and their execution, whether it’s fine art, murals, or motorcycles, he often cross pollinates ideas and process’s from one disparate area of the world to the other in order to find solutions that retain innovation and originality. Often, Gage will use design principles of biomimicry in his industrial design, nostalgia in graphics, and explores a combination of stylistic futurism in his practice of fine art paintings and sculptures.

Gage always seeks to combine his two life passions for innovative art design while travelling. Originally from the Monterey Bay, Gage decided to embark on his journey in the arts exploring photography and fine art practice while playing professional baseball outside of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Living in Holland spurred his broader interest in design and eventually led to his next pursuit, completing a Masters of Design from Coventry University’s storied automotive design program in the heartland of British automotive manufacturing. Gage won a number of university wide design competitions, including the Ferrari 2030 Design challenge, and was shortlisted for Jaguars’50th anniversary sculpture competition. Working closely with designers of Aston Martin and Land Rover, Gage’s passion for electric mobility and sustainable materials in the development of future electric concepts was a pivotal professional experience.

From England, he ventured east to Pune, India, recruited to aid the development of a startup art design college. Gage developed curriculums for foundational levels of the college, lectured undergrads in a myriad of topics and areas of creative expression and communication. Upon his return to the Monterey Bay, California, in early 2017, Gage continued his art design practice producing large scale public murals, graphics, fine art, and ongoing patent developments in the areas of hydro energy and public transportation infrastructure.
